In the 7th match of the Caribbean Premier League i.e. CPL 2024, a match was played between St Kitts and Nevis Patriots vs Guyana Amazon Warriors. In this match, Guyana Amazon Warriors defeated St Kitts and Nevis Patriots by 40 runs, thanks to Shimron Hetmyer’s stormy innings. Hetmyer not only played a stormy innings of 91 runs in this match but also created a new history in T20 cricket.
In fact, Guyana captain Imran Tahir won the toss and decided to bat first. Openers Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Kevin Sinclair started the innings but Kyle Mayers broke the opening pair within 25 runs. The team got the first blow in the form of Kevin Sinclair (17) on the fourth ball of the third over. In this way, he has become the first batsman in the world to hit 10 or more sixes without a four in T20 history. No other batsman had been able to do this feat before this.
