Raghu Ram opens up on interfaith marriage with Natalie Di Luccio; reveals he quit smoking because of her |

Raghu Ram recently talked about his marriage to Natalie Di Luccio. He revealed that he gave up many things to be with her. The couple, who married in 2018 after meeting years earlier, blended different religious rituals for their wedding due to their diverse backgrounds.
He mentioned on the show Couple of Things that they had a unique wedding, starting with a Telugu ceremony at the beach, followed by a Christian wedding, and incorporating some Punjabi rituals. The couple designed the celebration to reflect their preferences. Since it was an interfaith marriage, they also had to go through a court wedding for official registration.

He shared that he quit smoking because Natalie wasn’t a smoker and even recoiled when he leaned in for a kiss. Raghu used to be a heavy smoker, consuming a pack or two daily. However, when they started dating, he realized Natalie had never smoked or dated a smoker. He recalled a moment when he smoked before picking her up for a date, and when he kissed her, she reacted to the cigarette smell. That made him realize that if he wanted a future with her, he needed to quit smoking.

Raghu shared that he didn’t give in to the temptation of having a “one last smoke” and quit right away. He mentioned that it will be nine years this April since he quit. Though it was tough, frustrating, and at times unbearable, he was determined not to let his smoking stand in the way of his future with Natalie.
