Kevin Spacey responds to Guy Pearce’s ‘L.A. Confidential’ claims, tells him to ‘grow up’-OxBig News Network

Kevin Spacey has responded to recent comments made by his L.A. Confidential co-star Guy Pearce, who claimed in an interview that Spacey “targeted” him on the set of the 1997 film. In a video posted on X, Spacey dismissed Pearce’s remarks, urging him to “grow up” and questioning why the actor chose to address the issue in the media.

“We worked together a long time ago. If I did something that upset you, you could’ve reached out to me,” Spacey said. “But instead, you decided to speak to the press, who of course are now coming after me… You really want to know what my response is? Grow up.”

Spacey also referenced Pearce’s visit to Savannah, Georgia, in 1998 while he was filming Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. He questioned why Pearce had chosen to spend time with him after the L.A. Confidential shoot if he had felt uncomfortable. “Did you tell the press that, too? Or does that not fit into the victim narrative you have going?” Spacey asked.

The actor, who has faced multiple allegations of sexual misconduct since 2017, reiterated his willingness to have a direct conversation with Pearce rather than addressing the matter publicly.

Spacey has largely been absent from Hollywood in recent years following legal battles and industry backlash. While he has denied all allegations against him, opinions on his return to the industry remain divided. Some actors, including Brian Cox and Sharon Stone, have publicly defended Spacey, arguing that he should be given another chance.
