Salman Khan-starrer Sikandar and Mohanlal’s L2: Empuraan are set for a box office in the upcoming week. Here’s what Salman said about it.
Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of two big films this Eid. Mohanlal-starrer L2: Empuraan, directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, is set to release on March 27, while Salman Khan’s Sikandar, will hit the screens on March 30. What Salman said about box office clash
Salman said, “I love Mohanlal sir as an actor. Prithviraj is directing it, and I know that it’s going to be an excellent film.”
The actor not only reacted to the release of L2: Empuraan, but also shared his wishes for Sunny Deol starrer Jaat, which arrives in theatres a few days later in April 10. “There’s Jaat also coming post Sikandar. I wish all of them do well,” he added.

Sikandar also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Kajal Aggarwal in pivotal roles. The film is directed by A.R. Murugadoss, who is mostly known for his Tamil and Hindi blockbusters like Ghajini and Thuppakki. Sajid Nadiadwala has produced the project, marking Salman Khan’s reunion with him after their 2014 blockbuster, Kick.
Meanwhile, at a press conference in Delhi, Prithviraj clarified that there “is no competition” with Sikandar. He added, “Salman Khan is one of the biggest stars in the country, and there is no competition between the two movies. I hope it becomes a blockbuster,” said Prithviraj. “I will have no complaints if you watch L2: Empuraan at 11 a.m. and Sikandar at 1 p.m.,” he added. His film is a sequel to the 2019 blockbuster Lucifer. The film also stars Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, and Abhimanyu Singh.
