Kesari Chapter 2 box office collection: Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan and Ananya Panday’s courtroom drama opened to positive reviews, and it is translating into good business at the box office. The film has raked in over 65 crore till now, surpassing the underwhelming numbers of some of Akshay’s previous films, including Khel Khel Mein, in just 10 days. As per the latest report on Sacnilk.com, Kesari Chapter 2 performed well on its first 10 days at the box office. The film was released in theatres on April 18.

As per the portal, the eighth day, which was also the second Friday, saw business of 4.05 crore. Day 9 registered 76.54% growth in the business with the collection of 7.15 crore. Day 10 (second Sunday) saw business of 8.10 crore, with 13.29% growth in the business. Till now, the business of day 11 is 0.16 crore, taking the total collection to 65.56 crore (nett).

The film is doing relatively well, especially when stacked up against some of Akshay’s earlier projects. The business of his comedy film Khel Khel Mein after eight weeks was 39.29 crore, with inspirational Sarfira registering business of 24.85 crore in 34 days since release. In fact, the film is expected to soon surpass the total business of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, which is 65.96 crore in 56 days.

The Akshay Kumar-starrer has earned over 46 crore so far, as per Sacnilk.com. Also starring R Madhavan and Ananya Panday, the film released on April 18. Dharma Productions has produced the film. The film, which is a follow-up to Akshay’s 2019 film Kesari, delves into an untold story of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. It narrates the true story of lawyer C Sankaran Nair, who fought a legal battle against the British Empire in the 1920s. The movie is based on the book The Case That Shook the Empire. It details the 1924 defamation trial in which Michael O’Dwyer, former Lieutenant Governor of Punjab and the architect of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, sued Nair who had criticised British atrocities in Punjab in his book.
