2 Pakistani nationals arrested for visa fraud, cash laundering in Texas

Two Texas residents have been arrested for allegedly working a legal racket that exploited the US immigration system by way of fraudulent visa purposes, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) introduced this on Friday.

Abdul Hadi Murshid, 39, and Muhammad Salman Nasir, 35, each initially from Pakistan, have been taken into custody following a joint investigation led by FBI Dallas and federal legislation enforcement companions.

The duo now faces a number of federal costs, together with conspiracy to defraud the United States, visa fraud, cash laundering conspiracy and Racketeering Influenced and Corrupt Organization Act (RICO) conspiracy.

The costs have been introduced by Acting US Attorney for the Northern District of Texas, Chad E Meacham. Murshid and Nasir are additionally accused of unlawfully acquiring and trying to acquire US citizenship.

According to the indictment, the accused, together with the Law Offices of D Robert Jones PLLC and Reliable Ventures, Inc., allegedly orchestrated a large-scale visa fraud scheme for monetary achieve.

Investigators declare they submitted false and fraudulent purposes on behalf of non-citizens – referred to within the indictment as “visa seekers” – to assist them enter and stay within the US illegally.

On social media, FBI Director Kash Patel praised the arrests, writing on X, “Major arrests out of @FBIDallas. Abdul Hadi Murshid and Muhammad Salman Nasir – two people out of Texas who allegedly oversaw and operated a legal enterprise circumventing American immigration legal guidelines by promoting fraudulent visa purposes. Well carried out to our FBI groups and companions within the investigation.”

If convicted, Murshid and Nasir every resist 20 years in federal jail.
