The Kerala High Court has curbed the development of a toll plaza by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) at Kumbala in Kasaragod.
This adopted a petition filed by Ashraf Mohammed on behalf of the motion committee shaped on this regard, citing that there was a toll plaza at Talapadi which is hardly 20 km away from Kumbala. The petitioner stated that the brand new toll plaza was being in-built violation of guidelines stipulating a 60-km distance between two toll plazas.
