Rape convict ‘Godman’ Asaram’s bail extended by Rajasthan High Court till June 30.
Self-styled godman Asaram, serving a life sentence for rape cases, was on Monday granted temporary relief from the Rajasthan High Court. On Monday, April 7, after a hearing, the court extended his interim bail until June 30, 2025. The court accepted the petition in this regard.
Asaram surrenders, then gets hospitalised
Earlier, when the interim bail period expired on Tuesday last week, Asaram surrendered at the Jodhpur Central Jail in the afternoon. After spending about 10 hours in jail, he was admitted to a private hospital, ‘Arogyam,’ on Pali Road at 11:30 PM. It was reported that his health had deteriorated, which led to his hospitalisation.
