India are coming into the series having recently beaten New Zealand at home by 2-1 in November. On the other hand, Australia last played an ODI series back in March 2024 where they whitewashed Bangladesh 3-0.

Both teams will be eager to start the build up towards the next year’s World Cup with a victory in the upcoming rubber.
