Following India’s precision strikes on terror camps in Pakistan in response to the Pahalgam attack that claimed 26 lives, several leaders took to X to hail the Indian Army. The strikes targeted nine locations linked to terror activity against India.
Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh posted “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” on X.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath wrote, “Jai Hind, Jai Hind Ki Sena.”
Union Minister Piyush Goyal shared an image with the text “Operation Sindoor” and captioned it, “Bharat Mata Ki Jai.”
Opposition leaders came out in support of the Indian Army and lauded the strikes.
Tejashwi Yadav wrote in Hindi, “There should be neither terror nor separatism! We are proud of our brave soldiers and the Indian Army.”
Aditya Thackeray wrote on X, “Terrorism in all its forms has to be eliminated. Tonight’s precision strikes in PoK are against terrorism, and kudos to the Indian defence forces for keeping it precise to sites where terrorism was being harboured. Hit them, hard enough that terrorism doesn’t stand a chance ever again. Jai Hind!”
The missile strikes hit Kotli, Bahawalpur, and Muzaffarabad. Pakistan’s Dawn news quoted Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, who described the action as a “cowardly attack,” amid rising tensions after a militant incident in occupied Kashmir.
