Salman Khan Firing Case: Lawrence Bishnoi gang had taken responsibility for the murderous attack on actor Salman Khan. The charge sheet gives a detailed description of the conspiracy, attack and escape route. It includes analysis of intelligence collected, mobile phone records of the accused, their WhatsApp chats, audio and video calls and tower locations.

Mumbai Police on Monday filed a chargesheet in a special court against six arrested accused, including jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, and three wanted persons in connection with the firing at Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s Bandra residence in April. According to the chargesheet filed by the Mumbai Crime Branch, a total of 46 witnesses’ statements have been recorded before the magistrate in this case. Apart from this, there are a total of 22 panchanamas and technical evidence in the chargesheet.
The Crime Branch filed a 1,735-page chargesheet in the special MCOCA court. An official said that it includes various investigation documents in three volumes. He said that the evidence includes statements of 46 witnesses and statements of witnesses recorded under section 164 of the CrPC before the magistrate.
The official said that confessional statements under the MCOCA (Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime) Act, a total of 22 panchanamas and technical evidence are also part of the chargesheet. On the morning of April 14 this year, two motorcycle-borne men fired four bullets outside Khan’s Galaxy Apartment in Bandra.
Lawrence Bishnoi has been behind bars for a long time. He has several serious criminal cases registered against him like murder, attempt to murder, kidnapping. The police arrested Lawrence Bishnoi for the first time in 2014, but he escaped from Mohali by dodging the police. After this, he was caught by the police in 2016.
He was lodged in a Rajasthan jail. Then two years ago he was shifted to Tihar Jail in Delhi. Currently he is spending day and night behind the bars of Sabarmati Jail in Gujarat. Last month a video of Lawrence Bishnoi was released in which he was heard wishing Eid. Regarding the video, the administration clarified that it is not from Sabarmati Jail.
