Abohar: In a shocking incident from Abohar in Fazilka district, a 35-year-old farmer named Bharat Ratan was brutally murdered by a group of youths due to an ongoing personal rivalry. The crime occurred around 3 PM in the village of Sito Gunno when the victim was on his way to the nearby village of Bishrura.
Reportedly, several individuals surrounded Bharat Ratan and attacked him with sharp-edged weapons, leaving him seriously injured. Locals immediately informed the family, and he was rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment.
Tried Everything to Save Him
After initial treatment at the local hospital, doctors referred him to Faridkot due to the severity of his injuries. However, the family decided to take him to Sri Ganganagar for quicker treatment. Later that night, as his condition worsened, he was referred again to Bathinda. Sadly, Bharat Ratan succumbed to his injuries near Sadulshehar while being taken to Bathinda.

According to Station In-Charge Davinder Singh of Bahawwala police station, there were already multiple cases filed between the deceased and the accused due to previous altercations. This points to a long-standing enmity, which appears to have led to the fatal attack.

He was known for having arguments with local youths, which had escalated over time. The police are now acting based on the family’s statements and have launched a manhunt for the accused.
