NEW DELHI: The Aam Aadmi Party on Monday released the second list of candidates for the Delhi assembly elections scheduled for next year. The party has fielded former deputy CM Manish Sisodia from the Jangpura constituency who is currently the MLA from Patparganj.
The party has nominated educator turned politician Avadh Ojha from Patparganj who joined the party a few days earlier.
Earlier, the party released its first list of 11 candidates on November 21, finalised by the political affairs committee meeting chaired by party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal.
The last Delhi Assembly elections were held in February 2020, where the AAP won a decisive victory, securing 62 out of 70 seats. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) managed only 8 seats, and Congress failed to open its account.
