Veteran actor Dharmendra took a trip down memory lane on Saturday, posting a rare black-and-white photo of late cinema legend Dilip Kumar with his son Sunny Deol. The photograph, shared on social media, captures a moment where Dilip Kumar is seen playfully punching Sunny’s cheek in a gesture of affection.
“Dalip saheb ka pyaar bhara duayen dete haath Sunny ko film Betaab ke mahurat par hi naseeb ho gaya tha,” Dharmendra wrote in the caption, adding heart and evil-eye emojis. (Dilip saab was wishing his best to my son Sunny on the inauguration ofBetaab.)
The image quickly won the hearts of fans, who fondly remembered the bond between Bollywood’s veteran stars.
Dilip Kumar, often called the ‘Tragedy King of Indian cinema’, enjoyed a career that spanned over five decades. With about 60 films to his credit, he left an unforgettable mark on the industry through his performances, but also through his dignified presence off-screen. Dilip Kumar passed away at the age of 98 on July 7, 2021.
Meanwhile, Sunny Deol was last seen in the action drama Jaat, which hit theatres on April 10. Directed by Gopichand Malineni in his Hindi directorial debut, the film also features Regina Cassandra, Randeep Hooda, Vineet Kumar Singh, Saiyami Kher, Ramya Krishnan, and Jagapathi Babu.
