Don’t fleece customers, Srisailam police tell choultry managements-OxBig News Network

The Srisailam police on Sunday (February 16) asked the managements of choultries in the temple town not to overcharge customers during the season. The police was holding a meeting with the managements ahead of the Mahasivaratri Brahmotsavams at the Srisailam temple, which draw a large number of devotees from across the State as well as from Karnataka and Telangana.

Circle Inspector G. Prasada Rao asked the managements to instal CCTV cameras on their premises; not to allow consumption of alcohol and non-vegetarian food on the compounds; and display the ‘dos and dont’s’ board and rent rates at their establishments. He also asked the choultry employees to be polite to the visiting devotees.

Mr. Prasada Rao asked the managements to verify the antecedents of the staff while hiring, particularly if they are from other States. The managements should not allow any meetings without prior permission and would be held responsible for any disturbances or untoward incident at the choultries, he said.
