The company’s revenue stood at Rs 6353 crore in FY23
Sony India Managing Director (MD) Sunil Nayyar said that the company has generated a revenue of Rs 6,353 crore in the country in 2022-23 and is betting on the premium television segment in addition to its audio (listening devices) and imaging (display) products to accelerate growth. According to him, Sony India is also betting big on the gaming segment and the rapid growth of the imaging business.
US, China and Japan top-3 consumer countries
Nayyar said, “We have come a long way. If I go back 10 years, we (Indian business) were far behind worldwide, but now, we are at number four worldwide. This means that in a few years, maybe we can come to number three and will remain in the top three in the future.” Currently, the US, China and Japan are the top three markets for Sony globally, followed by India.
