Akshay Kumar has sold two apartments in Mumbai’s Borivali East for Rs 6.60 crore, making an impressive 89 per cent return on investment. According to property registration documents reviewed by SquareYards, the apartments were part of Kumar’s portfolio in Oberoi Sky City, a luxury project by Oberoi Realty.
The first apartment, measuring 1,080 sq ft, was purchased in November 2017 for Rs 2.82 crore and was sold for Rs 5.35 crore on March 20, 2025. The second, a 252 sq ft unit, was acquired in 2017 for Rs 67.19 lakh and sold for Rs 1.25 crore on the same day. Both apartments were originally bought for a combined Rs 3.49 crore and have now been sold at nearly double their purchase price.
The sale included designated car parking spaces, and the total stamp duty paid for the transactions amounted to nearly Rs 40 lakh, with an additional registration fee of Rs 60,000. Kumar sold the apartments to buyers Piyush Shah and Purvi Shah.
This marks Akshay Kumar’s third property sale in Oberoi Sky City in 2025, indicating a strategic shift in his real estate investments. Over the years, the actor has built an extensive real estate portfolio, with properties in Mumbai, Goa, and abroad.

Neither Akshay Kumar nor the buyers have commented on the transaction.
On the work front, apart from Kesari Chapter 2, Akshay Kumar has several films lined up. He will be seen in Jolly LLB 3, set for release on September 19, 2025.

He is also working on Bhooth Bangla, a horror-comedy directed by Priyadarshan. The film marks the reunion of Priyadarshan and Akshay Kumar after a long gap. The film is slated for a theatrical release on April 2, 2026.
