In a recent interview with Forbes India, she revealed that she rarely visited her father Chunky Panday‘s film sets as a child and had little knowledge of filmmaking. Ananya discussed her acting process and the challenges she faced while shooting her debut film.
When asked about how her acting process has changed, Ananya said it has completely transformed. She started without any formal training or experience, going straight from school to a film set. She wouldn’t change her journey and is grateful for everything she has learned on set.
The actress recalled that she rarely visited her father Chunky Panday’s film sets, which contributed to her struggles during her debut film ‘Student Of The Year 2’. She mentioned that despite her dad being an actor, she only went to a couple of his sets as a child. Ananya admitted she had little understanding of filmmaking, not knowing how cameras worked or the difference between wide and close shots. She thought filming was straightforward, believing you just needed to do a take once for the camera to capture you.
She further explained that filmmaking involves understanding angles, lighting, and various technical aspects. She feels that ‘Student Of The Year 2’ served as her technical learning experience. Tiger Shroff helped her by moving her between shots to show how to catch the light and hit her marks. Ananya admitted she had no process at the time and was simply enjoying every moment of it.
