After more than a decade, Vishal-Sundar C film ‘Madha Gaja Raja’ gets a release date-OxBig News Network

After a lengthy delay, Sundar C’s Madha Gaja Raja has got a release date. Starring Vishal and Santhanam, the movie will hit the screens on January 12, 2025.

The Tamil was reportedly due to release in 2013. However, due to multiple reasons, including financial issues and legal hurdles, Madha Gaja Raja hadn’t seen the day of light. Other actors in the movie are Anjali, Varalaxhmi Sarathkumar, Sathish, Sonu Sood and the late Manobala.

The movie, touted to be a comedy drama, is bankrolled by Gemini Film Circuit. Vijay Antony is the music composer while Richard M Nathan is the cinematographer. Sundar C and Venkat Raghavan have written Madha Gaja Raja. NB Srikanth and Praveen KL are the editors.

Madha Gaja Raja has joined the long list of Tamil releases coming out in the Pongal week. Vanangan, Nesippaya, Kadhalikka Neramillai and Madraskaaran are the other big releases.

Ajith Kumar’s Vidaamuyarchi, directed by Magizh Thirumen, was set to be the most-anticipated Tamil release on Pongal. However, the film was postponed due to “unavoidable circumstances”, as announced by the production house Lyca Productions.
