The trailer for L2: Empuraan, the sequel to Lucifer, was released by director Prithviraj Sukumaran at midnight on March 20. The film, starring Mohanlal in the lead role, is set for a theatrical release on March 27.

The nearly four-minute trailer introduces multiple subplots, but the focus remains on Mohanlal’s Stephen Nedumpally. The trailer hints at themes of power and betrayal, with new and returning characters making appearances. Tovino Thomas reprises his role as Jathin Ramdas, while new additions include Suraj Venjaramoodu and Nikhat Khan in political roles. Manju Warrier’s Priya Ramdas is also featured, speaking about her daughter as her only hope.

The trailer puts to show action sequences involving drug cartels and extremist groups targeting Khuresh Ab’raam (K-A). Mohanlal makes his first appearance about a minute in, reinforcing the mystery surrounding Stephen Nedumpally’s true identity. Prithviraj, who plays Zayed Masood, also appears in key moments.

The trailer concludes with Indrajith Sukumaran’s character, Govardhan, questioning Stephen’s identity. Mohanlal responds with a single word—”Lucifer”.

Prithviraj shared the trailer in multiple languages, writing, “Remember..it’s YOU who summoned the DEVIL at this hour!” L2: Empuraan marks Prithviraj’s return as director after the success of Lucifer.
