Sonakshi Sinha in ‘Nikita Roy’

The trailer for Nikita Roy, a supernatural thriller starring Sonakshi Sinha, is finally here. Directed by debutant Kussh S Sinha, Sonakshi’s brother, the film combines a pacy investigative story with tense horror elements.

Sonakshi plays an investigator racing against time to expose the dark dealings of Amar Dev (Paresh Rawal), a powerful and enigmatic spiritual healer. Arjun Rampal, in glasses and beard, appears to play a paranormal researcher of some sort. Does his death set Nikita off on this quest? “Truth is the world’s biggest lie,” he tells her grimly, in one scene, as her stubborn sleuthing takes a sinister turn.

Also starring Suhail Nayyar, Nikita Roy was early marketed as a psychological thriller. The makers, however, have played up the supernatural elements in the film’s trailer.

Nikita Roy is written by filmmaker Pavan Kripalani, known for the female-led mystery thrillers Phobia and Gaslight. He also directed the 2021 horror comedy Bhoot Police and other films in the horror genre.

Sonakshi Sinha last featured in Kakuda and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, both released in 2024.

Nikita Roy releases in theatres on June 27, 2025.
