KAKINADA 

Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party (JSP) president K. Pawan Kalyan on Monday announced ₹5 lakh ex gratia each to the families of the two youths who died in a road mishap near Peddapuram in Kakinada district on January 4.

The two youths, identified as Arava Manikanta, 23, and Thokada Charan, belonging to Gaigolupadu village in Kakinada district, were declared dead after their two-wheeler collided with a van on the Rajamahendravaram-Kakinada road. The incident occurred while the youths were returning from the pre-release event of the movie ‘Game Changer’ held in Rajamahendravaram.

In an official release, Mr. Pawan Kalyan said: “The government will explore all possibilities to offer ex gratia to the two youths apart from ₹5 lakh ex gratia to be offered by the Jana Sena Party.”

On the condition of roads, Mr. Pawan Kalyan said: “The Rajamahendravaram-Kakinada ADB road has been neglected for the past five years. It will soon be repaired. I will travel by ADB road to reach Pithapuram constituency.”
