The Income Tax Department has reportedly carried out a raid on ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ movie director Sukumar’s office in Banjara Hills of Hyderabad on Wednesday (January 22, 2025). The raids are expected to continue on other properties related to the director and other members of Mythri Movie Makers.

This follows the series of searches conducted at the properties related to ‘Pushpa 2’ and ‘Game Changer’ producers including Telangana Film Federation Development Corporation (TGFDC) chairman V. Venkata Ramana Reddy (Dil Raju) on Tuesday (January 21).

The raids that began yesterday in the upscale Jubilee Hills at Dil Raju’s residence, are expected to continue for two more days.

This comes in the backdrop of massive budgets and box office collections associated with the recent Sankranti releases by Dil Raju. The movies include wildly successful Pushpa 2 and major films lined up for the two producers.

While Dil Raju’s wife Tejaswini on Tuesday (January 21, 2025) said that the IT officials were conducting ‘routine checks’, the IT department is yet to issue a formal statement regarding the raids.
