What Salim Khan said about Sikandar
During the conversation, Aamir asked Salim Khan whether he has seen Sikandar. The veteran screenwriter said yes and said what he liked about the film. “The best part about Sikandar was the ek-ek scene ke baad, it will make you feel ki ‘aage kya hoga?’ ‘Ab kya karenge (After each scene, you will feel the need to ask ‘what will happen next?’ ‘What will he do now’)? If you can hold the audience’s interest to know what will happen next then it is a win-win situation.”
Meanwhile, Salman shared that Sikandar is a film that is for everyone. The actor said that the film is a ‘complete package’ which will cater to a wide audience. Salman went on to tell his father that he has put two dialogues from Deewar, a film he had co-written with Javed Akhtar.
Dialogues from Deewar
“Ek toh ye Deewaar ka, ‘Koi Amitabh Bachchan nahi hai jo phenke hue paise nahi uthaata.’ Wo daala hai. Aur phir ek aur daala hai ki ‘Aap humein baahar dhund rahe ho, hum aapke ghar mein aapka intezaar kar rahe hain.’ Dono ‘Deewaar’ ke hi hain. Thoda sa twist dekar use kiya hai (These dialogues are with a twist. One where I say that I am not Amitabh Bachchan that I will pick up these notes that are thrown, and the other is when I say how you are searching for me everywhere but I am waiting for you at your house).”
Sikandar also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Kajal Aggarwal. It is backed by Sajid Nadiadwala’s banner, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. The film is set for release on March 30.
