‘STR 51’: Silambarasan to play ‘God of Love’ in Ashwath Marimuthu’s movie-OxBig News Network

Tamil star Silambarasan is set to play ‘God of Love’ in his upcoming film with Ashwath Marimuthu. The movie, which is set to be the actor’s 51st movie, is tentatively titled STR 51.

The film will be bankrolled by AGS Entertainment. Kalpathi S Aghoram, Kalpathi S Ganesh and Kalpathi S Suresh will produce the movie. The production has already collaborated with Ashwath Marimuthu for Dragon. The movie, starring Pradeep Ranganathan, is set to hit the screens on February 21, 2025.

On February 03, 2025, on the occasion of Silambarasan’s birthday, two more movies were announced. The actor has teamed up with Parking filmmaker Ramkumar Balakrishnan. He will also produce his upcoming movie with Desingh Periyasamy. The two movie are tentatively titled STR49 and STR50 respectively.

Silambarasan was last seen in Pathu Thala, a remake of the 2018 Kannada hit Mufti. He is part of the upcoming Tamil film Thug Life, starring Kamal Haasan and directed by Mani Ratnam. The film will hit the screens on June 5, 2025.
