The trailer of Subham, actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s maiden production venture, was unveiled today, April 27. Written by Vasanth Maringanti and directed by Praveen Kandregula, the film is set to release in theatres on May 9.

The trailer centres around three men who begin to observe their wives behaving oddly while watching a particular television soap. Soon enough, we realise that the three are ‘possessed’ by the serial and that this is a phenomenon that has affected all women who watch the serial. In the final moments of the trailer, we see Samantha appear in a cameo as a godwoman.

Billed as a horror comedy, the film features Harshith Reddy, Gavireddy Srinivas, Charan Peri, Shriya Kontham, Shravani Lakshmi, Shalini Kondepudi, and Vamshidhar Goud in the lead.

With songs composed by Shor Police and background score by Vivek Sagar, the film has cinematography by Mridul Sujit Sen and editing by Dharmendra Kakarala. Subham is produced by Samantha’s Tralala Moving Pictures.

Interestingly, Raj Nidimoru, of the director duo Raj & DK, who directed Samantha in The Family Manand Citadel: Honey Bunny, has served as the creative producer in Subham.
