Diljit Dosanjh’s first director, Guddu Dhanoa REFUSES to comment on the Punjabi singer-actor; dodges question by saying ‘let’s talk about good people’ |

Diljit Dosanjh became a household name in the past few years. With his back-to-back Punjabi and Hindi movies, chartbusting singles, albums, and the latest music tour, he became one of the most talked about artists on both national and international levels. However, there is one person who recently refused to talk about Diljit Dosanjh, and he is none other than the Punjabi-turned-global-star’s very first director, Guddu Dhanoa.

Guddu Dhanoa refuses to comment on Diljit Dosanjh

Filmmaker Guddu Dhanoa, who is famous for films like ‘Deewana’ and ‘Salaakhen,’ gave Diljit Dosanjh his first break in Pollywood. He was the one to helm ‘The Lion of Punjab,’ with which Diljit Dosanjh entered the Punjabi film industry, and since then, there has been no looking back for the actor. Ever since, he has been lauded for his humble nature, but Guddu Dhanoa’s recent interaction with Friday Talkies hinted otherwise.
When asked to comment on Diljit, he refused to say anything and dodged the question by saying, “Let’s talk about positive people, real people, nice people, good people.”
He highlighted how some people change after tasting fame and success. He gave the example of Sunidhi Chauhan, who once touched his feet, but now no longer answers his calls.
“I don’t understand why people change. I have met so many different kinds of people throughout my life. I still remember when we were shooting Bichhoo, I saw a 14-15-year-old Sunidhi singing Ek Vari Tak Le, and I was stunned that she sang that song for the movie. She touched my feet, and I hugged her, but people forget all this later on. I even called her a few days ago, but she neither answered nor replied,” said Guddu Dhanoa.
On the same hand, he mentioned names like Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan, Sunny Deol, Priyanka Chopra and Vidya Balan who remain grounded, kind and positive despite their status.

‘The Lion Of Punjab’

Released in 2011, ‘The Lion Of Punjab’ is a remake of the 2003 Tamil movie ‘Dhool.’ Alongside him, actors Jividha Sharma, Pooja Tandon, and Gurpreet Ghuggi were seen in pivotal roles. Though the movie tanked at the box office, the song from the film, ‘Lak 28 Kudi Da,’ became a major hit!

Diljit Dosanjh’s upcoming movies

Diljit Dosanjh was supposed to hit the theatres with ‘Punjab 95,’ a movie based on the life of Sikh activist Jaswant Singh Khalra, who vanished in 1995. However, the envelope of the same has been pushed forward. Next, he has ‘Border 2’ with Ahan Shetty, Sunny Deol, and Varun Dhawan in his pipeline.
