Actor Dharmendra undergoes eye-surgery, says, “I am strong”-OxBig News Network

Actor Dharmendra, who recently underwent eye surgery, was spotted by the paparazzi while exiting a hospital in Mumbai with a bandaged right eye. The former Lok Sabha member, in his interaction with the media, assured them of his health and demonstrated that he was in good spirits.

While walking to his car, he said, “I am strong,” and added, “Abhi bhi Dharmendra mein bohot dum hai. Abhi bhi jaan rakhta hoon. Meri aankh eye graft [corneal transplant] ho gayo hai.” (Dharmendra still has a lot of strength. I am in good spirits. My eye has undergone an eye graft.) He further said, “Love you, my audience and my fans.”

Dharmendra was last seen in the Karan Johar directorial Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani. The He-Man of Bollywood made his debut in 1960 in the film Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere and went on to act in over 300 films including classics like Sholay and Seeta Aur Geeta.

He ventured into politics in 2004 and served as a Member of Lok Sabha from the Bharatiya Janata Party and represented Bikaner, Rajasthan from 2004-2009.
