Actor Wamiqa Gabbi, who was seen recently in Varun Dhawan’s Baby John, has joined the cast of Adivi Sesh’s upcoming spy thriller, G2. Directed by Vinay Kumar Sirigineedi, the film is a sequel to the 2018 Telugu film Goodachari, marking the next chapter in Sesh’s self-written spy franchise.

Calling Gabbi his “partner in crime adventure,” Sesh unveiled a new poster on his social media handle to announce the news. In the same post, the actor also announced that a special glimpse from the film is set to release later this month.

“Her character promises to add a fresh, dynamic layer to the world of espionage, amplifying the intrigue and emotional depth fans have come to love,” reads a statement from the makers.

Gabbi, who recently wrapped a schedule in Europe, expressed her excitement in a statement. She shared, “I’m beyond excited to be part of the incredible journey of G2. The first film set a remarkable benchmark, and stepping into this world is both thrilling and challenging. Working with such a talented cast and crew inspires me to push boundaries and bring fresh energy to my character. I can’t wait for the audience to experience what we’re crafting — it’s going to be extraordinary!”

Also starring Emraan Hashmi in a pivotal role, G2 features an ensemble including Murali Sharma, Supriya Yarlagadda, and Madhu Shalini. The film is produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Abhishek Agarwal, under the banner of People Media Factory, Abhishek Agarwal Arts, and AK Entertainments.
