Kangana Ranaut to make Hollywood debut with horror drama ‘Blessed Be The Evil’-OxBig News Network

Bollywood star Kangana Ranaut is all set to make her Hollywood debut with the upcoming horror drama, Blessed Be The Evil. The film, directed by Anurag Rudra, will feature the star alongside actors Tyler Posey and Scarlet Rose Stallone.

According to Variety, the film, written by Rudra and Gatha Tiwary, follows a Christian couple who are reeling from the trauma of a devastating miscarriage. They buy an abandoned farm where their love and faith are tested by a malevolent presence.

Speaking about the project, Rudra told Variey that the film is inspired by the stories he was told while growing up in rural India. “This folklore was so special that I truly believed in all the stories, and wanted to showcase them internationally through the art of cinema – the strongest and most beautiful way to connect to dreams and reality,” he added.

Blessed Be The Evil will begin production in New York this summer. Interestingly, the makers have decided to shoot in the US to avoid “uncertainties stemming from the recently announced Trump,” as per Variety. The project is set to be presented to buys at the upcoming Cannes Film Festival.

Apart from co-writing the script, Tiwary, president and founder of Lions Movies, also produces the film along with Rudra.

Kangana was last seen in Emergency, which she also directed. The film featured the star as the former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
