Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya’s aerial action drama Sky Force will stream on Prime Video from March 21. The film, directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Kapur, was released in theatres in January this year. Set in 1965, it is inspired by the story of India’s first airstrike on Pakistani soil.

Pegged by the makers as a gripping story of ‘heroism, sacrifice, and patriotism’, Sky Force also features Sara Ali Khan, Nimrat Kaur and Sharad Kelkar.

In the film, Akshay Kumar plays the character of Wing Commander Kumar Om Ahuja, based on Indian Air Force (IAF) fighter pilot Om Prakash Taneja.

In a statement, Kumar said, “Sky Force is a movie that holds a special place in my heart. Beyond its inspiration from real-life events, this film delivers so much more than action– it’s about deep emotions, the unwavering passion to serve the nation, and the bonds that hold us together. Playing Air Force pilot, Kumar Om Ahuja was an absolute honour.”

Akshay Kumar’s upcoming films are Kannappa, Housefull 5, Bhoot Bangla and Welcome to the Jungle.
