Udit Narayan attended the success party of the documentary series The Roshans. While posing for photos, the paparazzi joked with him, asking for a kiss, saying, “Sir, ek kiss hojaye.” The singer laughed it off and walked away.

While taking selfies with fans near the stage, one woman kissed him on the cheek. The situation escalated when Udit returned the gesture with a kiss on her lips.
In an interview with HT City, Udit Narayan addressed the backlash, stating that fans can be very passionate, but he is not like that. He described himself as a decent person and felt there was no need to make a big deal out of the incident.
