Mahvash, fondly known as RJ Mahvash, is a multi-talented artist. Taking her passion for storytelling to the next level, Mahvash is now venturing into film production. Her debut project, ‘Section 108,’ starring stalwarts like Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Arbaaz Khan, is set to release soon, marking a new chapter in her career. Her second feature film with a budget of 45CR will be going on floors soon.
Mahvash’s vision as a producer is deeply rooted in nostalgia and responsibility. “My future vision as a producer is to bring back the essence of old Indian cinema that we all used to enjoy. Also, keeping in mind our basic responsibility of having a positive influence on our society by maintaining a balance of entertainment and responsible cinema. And of course, to enter the 500 crore club very soon,” she stated.
“We’re going on the floor with our second feature film with a budget of 45cr—this is one of the projects we have been waiting for. Have worked day and night to reach here. Our debut film, ‘Section 108’ starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Arbaaz Khan is also all set to hit the theatres soon,” added Mahavash.
For the unversed, RJ Mahavash’s debut film ‘Section 108’ was scheduled for a February 2025 release. However, in January, the production house announced that there was a delay in the release of the movie. According to a Pinkvilla report, in a statement, the banner shared, “We have decided to postpone the release of the movie to May end -tentatively. Our actor’s dates couldn’t match the schedule and some locations were not available as well. And we were not ready to compromise with the quality at any cost. Finally, we are on floor for our final schedule and are all set to release in May end.”
