‘Sikandar’ screenings: Salman Khan’s fans dance their hearts out as ‘Sikandar Naache’ plays on the big screen |

The release of Salman Khan’s action drama Sikandar has kicked off celebration across theatres nationwide. Khan, who released his film on March 30, saw his loyal supporters flocking to theatres to catch the early screenings of the film. Besides watching the film, fans turned cinema halls into festive arenas, as they ran up to the screens, danced and cheered as they watched their favourite superstar get groovy to the tunes of ‘Sikandar Naache’.
Videos circulating on social media show enthusiastic fans dancing in the aisles, and even throwing paper confetti as the superstar took over the big screen with his epic dance moves and hook steps. According to reports, several theatres, particularly in Mumbai and Delhi saw a good turnout as fans flocked to catch the first-day screenings.

Sikandar opened to an estimated collection of Rs 26 crore, according to a report on Sacnilk. The film is now the 8th highest opener for a Salman starrer. However, the figures fell slightly below industry expectations, with trade analysts predicting that the Eid holiday might boost collections further.
Adding to the challenges, Sikandar was leaked online on its release day, with pirated copies circulating on multiple platforms, including social media handles. In response, Khan’s fans rallied behind the producers, helping them remove around 3,000 illegal sites carrying pirated prints of the film from various online handles. The production house, along with cyber security teams and Mumbai Police, is actively working to curb further piracy. According to the latest buzz, the makers are even planning on taking legal action against those responsible.
