Sreelekha Mitra Physical Abuse Against Malayalam Director Ranjith: Cases of physical abuse are constantly increasing in the Malayalam film industry. But now recently Bengali actress Sreelekha Mitra has filed a sexual abuse case against famous Malayalam film industry director Ranjith. The actress has accused director Ranjith that he called her to his house in 2009 to give her a role and sexually harassed her.
A complaint has been filed against director Ranjit in Kochi City Police Station and actress Srilekha Mitra said that in the year 2009, the director had called her to Kochi to offer her a role in a film. Director Ranjit called her to his flat in Kaloor Kadavanthra to discuss the film. He was staying there.
But during this conversation, Ranjit held the hand of actress Srilekha Mitra tightly and later started touching her body with the intention of having sex with her. The actress says that when she sensed danger, she ran away from the flat where she was staying to her hotel.
Actress Srilekha Mitra said that she was not being given a ticket to return and due to this she had sought help from script writer Shri Joshi Joseph. The actress says that she belongs to Kolkata and she was not aware of the local legal process of the South. That is why she had not lodged a complaint till now and now she has lodged her complaint through mail.
