At that point, several reports suggested that Amrita and Sunny were dating for a short period of time. However, it was said that they broke up and Amrita backed out of the relationship when she got to know that Sunny was married to a London-based girl Pooja. Soon after Amrita and Sunny broke up, there were strong rumours about Sunny’s secret relationship with Dimple Kapadia and how he was in love with her. At that point, Amrita had taken a sly dig at Dimple and said as per a Yahoo Report, “I think she’s having her cake and eating it too. She’s got nothing to lose and most importantly, she’s got her guy where she wants him. So what if it’s not heading anywhere? When you’ve already lived a life, you are happy with a relationship that’s at status quo.”

She never divorced him till he passed away but very early on in their marriage, just after her daughters were born, she started living separately. Rumours suggest that love bloomed between Dimple and Sunny when they worked together on ‘Manzil Manzil’.
