Yuvika Chaudhary reveals Farah Khan did not scold her for messing up the ‘ek chutki sindoor’ dialogue in ‘Om Shanti Om’ | Hindi Movie News

Yuvika Chaudhary, who portrayed the character of Dolly Arora in Farah Khan’s 2007 film ‘Om Shanti Om‘, recently shared an amusing memory from the set. In a new vlog, filmmaker Farah visited Yuvika and her husband, Prince Narula, at their Mumbai residence. During their conversation, the trio reminisced about Yuvika’s struggle with the iconic dialogue, “Ek chutki sindoor ki keemat…”, while filming the movie.
Farah brought up the topic, asking viewers, “Have you seen Dastaan-E-Om Shanti Om?” Yuvika, recalling the nerve-wracking experience, admitted, “Kaun nahi shiver karega? (Who wouldn’t shiver on that set?)” Farah couldn’t help but laugh as she remembered how many takes it took. “She had to say one dialogue, ‘Ek chutki sindoor ki keemat, tum kya jaano Ramesh babu’. Oh my God! I will have to take out the bloopers,” she added.

Yuvika further revealed that she was spared from Farah’s infamous scoldings because she was personally chosen for the role. “Sabko daant padi thi. Because I was her choice, mujhe ek baar kuch nahi kaha ma’am ne. Not even once! Itna pyaar se rakha hai mujhe. Maine sabko daant khaate dekha hai.” (She didn’t scold me; I saw everyone else getting scolded),” Yuvika shared.
Farah recalled how nervous Yuvika was during the scene. Adding a romantic touch to the conversation, Prince Narula revealed that he first noticed Yuvika in Om Shanti Om and was mesmerised by her beauty. He further added that he had never imagined she would become his wife.
Yuvika expressed her gratitude to Farah for giving her a chance in Bollywood. She emotionally stated that she had never opened up about it before as she was very shy, and many years had passed since the film. She embraced Farah and said, “Because of her, I am here; otherwise, mera koi vajood nahi hai. Thank you so much, I love you wholeheartedly.”
Meanwhile, Yuvika and Prince Narula recently made headlines over divorce rumours. However, the actress later clarified that while they have experienced both good and tough times, they do not feel the need to justify their relationship to the public.
