Gautam Adani Networth: With a net worth of Rs 11.6 lakh crore, Gautam Adani and family have overtaken Mukesh Ambani to come first in the Hurun India Rich List. According to the report, one person has become a billionaire every five days in India last year. The wealth of Hurun report has been calculated till 31 July 2024. For the first time, Shahrukh Khan has made his place in this list.
Billionaires are decreasing in China and increasing in India
Anas Rehman Junaid, founder and chief researcher of Hurun India, said, ‘India is emerging as the wealth creation engine of Asia! While the number of billionaires in China decreased by 25%, it has increased by 29% in India, reaching a record 334 billionaires.’

Gautam Adani and family top the Hurun India Rich List with a net worth of Rs 11,61,800 crore.
Mukesh Ambani has secured the second top spot in the Hurun India Rich List 2024. His net worth is Rs 10,14,700 crore.
Shiv Nadar & Family of HCL Technologies have been ranked third this year. Their wealth is Rs 3,14,000 crore.
Cyrus S Poonawala & Family of vaccine manufacturer Serum Institute of India are ranked fourth in this list. Their net worth is Rs 2,89,800 crore.
After this, Dilip Sanghvi of Sun Pharmaceutical Industries is at the fifth position in the list of richest people in India. His net worth is Rs 2,49,900 crore.
In sixth place is Kumar Mangalam Birla & Family of Aditya Birla Group with a net worth of Rs 2,35,200 crore.
In seventh place is Gopichand Hinduja & Family of Hinduja Group. Their net worth is Rs 1,92,700 crore.
Radhakrishna Damani and Family of Avenue Supermarts are at the eighth position. Their net worth is Rs 1,90,900 crore.
Azim Premji and Family of Wipro are at the ninth position with a net worth of Rs 1,90,700 crore.
Neeraj Bajaj and Family of Bajaj Auto are at the tenth position with a net worth of Rs 1,62,800 crore.
Youngest billionaire in India
The youngest in the 2024 Hurun India Rich List is 21-year-old Kaivalya Vohra, founder of $5 billion quick commerce startup Zepto. Zepto’s co-founder 22-year-old Aadit Palicha is the second youngest billionaire on the list.
Shahrukh Khan debuts in the list
Indian film star Shah Rukh Khan has made it to the Hurun India Rich List for the first time. This is mainly due to the rising value of his stake in IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders. The entertainment industry’s Hurun India Rich Listers added Rs 40,500 crore in just one year, with seven new entrants.
