Railway Police Force (RPF), Border Security Force (BSF) and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) have implemented the decision to give 10% reservation to Agniveers. It has also been told that former Agniveers will get relaxation in physical standards in addition to reservation on 10% seats in these recruitments.
Candidates applying for jobs in the Central Security Forces after serving as Agniveer for 4 years in the Indian Army will be given 10% reservation. This reservation has also been implemented by three central security forces. This reservation was announced by the Union Home Ministry in 2022.

It has also been told that former Agniveers will get relaxation in physical parameters in addition to reservation on 10% seats in these recruitments.
Regarding this matter, RPF Director General Manoj Yadav said, “In whatever recruitment will be done in RPF in future, provision of 10% reservation will be given to former Agniveers. Not only will they get 10% reservation but they will also be given relaxation in age limit.” He said that the Agniveers who will complete their service in the army in 2026-27 will get a relaxation of 5 years and the subsequent batch will get a relaxation of 3 years. He also said that former Agniveers will not have to give any physical standard test in RPF recruitment.
On this matter, CISF Director General Neena Gupta said, “CISF has made all the preparations for the recruitment of former Agniveers in CISF. Under this, 10% of the constable posts in CISF have been recruited for Agniveers. Apart from this, they have been given relaxation in physical test and age limit. This will also improve the operation of CISF.”
BSF Director General Nitin Agarwal said, “These Agniveers would have worked hard for 4 years, so they will be perfect for BSF. We will get ready-made army, so we will be able to deploy them in the army quickly. As soon as Agniveers come, we will recruit them.
In all our recruitments, 10% posts will be reserved and there will be age relaxation.” It is worth noting that Agniveers are being recruited in the army for 4 years. 25% of the Agniveers recruited in the army will be kept to serve even after 4 years, while the rest will be retired with other benefits. The government implemented this formula of reservation in the central security forces in 2022 for the welfare of these Agniveers. Now it is being implemented.(opindia)
