Giving information about the incident, Russia’s state news agency said that the Mi-8T helicopter operated by Vityaz-Aero airline lost contact after taking off at 7.15 am. According to emergency services, the Mi-8T helicopter disappeared from the radar soon after takeoff, although the crew did not report any problems before losing contact. The helicopter was carrying 19 passengers and three crew members. Media reports also suggest that low visibility was recorded by the Kamchatka Hydrometeorological Center in the area of ​​Nikolaevka airport, where contact with the helicopter was lost.

Plane sent to search for helicopter

An aircraft has been sent to search for this helicopter which mysteriously disappeared. However, no clue has been found so far. A committee has been formed regarding this matter, which has started investigating the incident under Article 263 of the Criminal Code related to violation of traffic safety rules and operation of air transport.
