Rajesh Khanna: this name has been etched in the books of Indian cinema. The legendary actor had an unmatched charm, and his stardom was beyond expression. And then came time, when he saw his downfall. The shining star’s stardom turned into dust. The status he had earned with his blood, sweat, and hard work vanished right in front of his eyes. And during that very time, the actor thought of finding refuge in the popular and controversial reality show ‘Bigg Boss.’

Rajesh Khanna expressed his desire to participate in ‘Bigg Boss’

It was hard for the superstar to cope with his dwindling fame, so he contemplated participating in the show. Initially, when the makers of the show approached Kaka, he declined their offer. Later, he had a change of mind, and according to his alleged girlfriend, Anita Advani’s statement he expressed his willingness to be on the show.
“They were paying him a huge amount. They also went to Delhi to convince him, and he was contemplating whether he should or not. So, one night, he said, ‘I think if I go to Bigg Boss, I will become a better person,’” revealed Anita in her conversation with Mid-day.
Shocked by his words, Anita said, “No Kakaji, not at all. You have such an aura and personality, I don’t think you can fit there.”
She further revealed that she told Rajesh Khanna that, according to the format of the show, contestants wash utensils and cook food.
“I told him ‘Vahan bartan manjwate hain. He said ‘Mere se bhi manjwayenge?’ I said ‘Nahi, aapse toh shayad nahi. I told him, ‘Vahan khana bhi nahi milta theek se. He said, ‘Refugee hain kya?'”

Rajesh Khanna was offered Rs.3.5 crore per episode?

Eventually, Rajesh Khanna never participated in the show. According to a Reddit post from 2012, initially, the makers offered Kaka a whopping amount of Rs.3.5 crore per episode for the show. However, the actor refused, and later when he thought of reconsidering his decision, the makers had moved on.
