Hindi version of Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa 2’ gets approved by censor board ahead of release; ‘Ramavatar’ replaced with ‘Bhagwan’ | Hindi Movie News

The much-anticipated film ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, has officially completed the censor process for its Hindi version. Yesterday (December 3), the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) granted approval but mandated a few changes.
According to Bollywood Hungama, the word “Ramavatar” was replaced with “Bhagwan,” and the term “Haraam zaada” was removed in three instances, being substituted with “Haraamkhor.” Additionally, a dialogue that is unspecified in the cut list was modified into Hindi.
A visually intense scene involving an amputated leg flying was also removed. Interestingly, this particular scene was edited out of the original Telugu version as well last week. The CBFC further required the inclusion of anti-smoking warnings in scenes depicting smoking.

The Telugu version of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ received its clearance earlier, on November 28. For this version, the CBFC requested the removal of the word “r***i” in three places, along with terms like “Denguddi” and “Venkateshwar.” The same flying leg scene was censored, and a shot of the protagonist holding a severed arm was altered by zooming in to avoid showing graphic violence.

Both the Hindi and Telugu versions have been certified U/A, and the film’s runtime is 200.38 minutes. Starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil in key roles, ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ is set to hit theaters on December 5. Directed by Sukumar, the first part, ‘Pushpa: The Rise – Part 1’ (2021), became a blockbuster hit, with Allu Arjun winning the National Award for Best Actor for his performance.
