Producer Sajid Nadiadwala on Wednesday (April 30) unveiled the teaser of Housefull 5, the much-awaited fifth instalment of one of the most successful comedy franchises in Indian cinema. Starring Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan and Riteish Deshmukh alongside a star-studded ensemble, the film is set to release in theatres on June 6.

The teaser, unveiled on the fifteenth-year anniversary of the first Housefull movie, shows glimpses from the upcoming film while introducing the ensemble cast. The teaser promises a laugh riot set on a cruise, with an all-new twist to the mix: there’s a mysterious killer on board the ship. “Housefull 5 takes audiences aboard a luxurious cruise, promising a rollercoaster ride of endless laughs, twists, and a killer comedy with chartbuster songs,” reads a press release.

Apart from the three leads mentioned above, the film also stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar, Chitrangada Singh, Fardeen Khan, Chunky Pandey, Johnny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, Dino Morea, Ranjeet, Soundarya Sharma, Nikitin Dheer, and Akashdeep Sabir.

Unlike the first four films, which were directed by Sajid Khan and/or Farhad Samji, the upcoming film is directed by Tarun Mansukhani. Sajid Nadiadwala, who wrote the film’s story and screenplay, produces under his banner, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.
