YSRCP leader and MLC Botcha Satyanarayana on Tuesday said the TDP-led NDA government in Andhra Pradesh should implement the Super Six schemes without further delay as it had won the elections in 2024 based on those assurances.
“It is the moral responsibility of the political parties to fulfil their electoral promises after forming the government,” Mr. Satyanarayana told The Hindu here.
“The TDP ignores its electoral promises after assuming power as is evident from its previous tenures,” he alleged.
“The TDP removed its manifesto from its official website after assuming power in 2014. It has failed to implement all its promises now, including free bus facility for women, job notification for the unemployed youth and ₹15, 000 financial assistance for mothers of schoolchildren,” he said, and claimed that the previous YSRCP government had implemented the Amma Vodi scheme successfully during its tenure.
Mr. Satyanarayana said the TDP always blamed the previous governments’ policies and cited huge debts as reasons for failing to implement its promises whenever it was voted to power. “It is now trying to show the previous YSRCP government in poor light and blow out of proportion the borrowings made for implementation of welfare schemes,” he said.
The NDA government was putting an additional financial burden on the State with its wrong policies and priorities, he said.
