The Ministry of External Affairs on Thursday said the current India-Canada tension has been precipitated by the Trudeau government’s baseless allegations.
The MEA said Canadian PM Justin Trudeau’s own admission during a public inquiry shows the value of allegations levelled against India.
It said that so far no evidence has been shared by Canada on the alleged involvement of Indian government agents in killing of Khalistani separatist Nijjar.
Economic ties with Canada are robust and strong, the MEA said.
