A.P. Chief Secretary underscores govt.’s commitment to phased rollout of Mission LiFE-OxBig News Network

Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand released a poster on Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment) in a meeting with Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) Southern Regional Media Advisor A. Chandra Sekhar Reddy and A.P. State Energy Conservation Mission (APSECM) CEO B.A.V.P. Kumar Reddy on Sunday.

Mission LiFE advocates sustainable living practices, energy efficiency, and a transition to a circular economy.

Mr. Vijayanand underscored the State government’s commitment to a phased rollout of Mission LiFE, and stressed the importance of global consultations to prepare an effective action plan. He suggested to the BEE to provide financial support to MSMEs to enable them adopt energy-efficient technologies, including investment-grade energy audits and advanced monitoring mechanisms.

Further, the Chief Secretary said the Chief Minister emphasised the need for time-bound completion of renewable energy and energy efficiency projects.

To showcase the State’s initiatives related to Mission LiFE, the government plans to host a global summit on energy efficiency in collaboration with the BEE, Mr. Vijayanand added.
