Andhra University Alumni Association annual day function on December 7-OxBig News Network

The Andhra University Alumni Association (AAA) is scheduled to conduct its Annual Day function on December 7, at the Andhra University Convention Centre.

Speaking to media persons on Monday (December 2), Andhra University incharge Vice-Chancellor G. Sasibhusana Rao, AAA chairman E. Sankara Rao and others said chairman and managing director of L&T Group S N Subrahmanyam would be the chief guest of the function while the guest of honour would be orthopaedic surgeon Padma Sri award winner S. V. Adinarayana Rao. Minister for IT and Human Resources Development Nara Lokesh would host the event and founder chairman of the AAA G M Rao would also attend the function.

According to Mr. G Sashibhusana Rao, the day would start with the alumni visiting the respective colleges and departments to have department-level interactions. In the evening, the event starts at 3 p.m. at the AU Convention Centre on the Beach Road with cultural programmes and later addresses by prominent alumni members and later by the dignitaries.

The AAA said 1,500 members have already registered to attend the function and they are expecting another 1,500 more members to register. Live link would be provided for the members, who cannot attend, to watch the proceedings. Last year, 2,000 alumni members have attended the annual day function while 2,200 others watched the function live.
