Atta Galatta-Bangalore Literature Festival book prizes announced-OxBig News Network

The 10th Atta Galatta-Bangalore Literature Festival book prizes were announced at BLF on Sunday (December 15). The organisers said they had over 200 books nominated for the fiction prize, close to 250 titles for the non-fiction prize, around 50 titles each for the cover design and popular choice prizes. They had over 100 children’s books nominated for best fiction and best non-fiction for children and around 60 titles for best picture book story and illustrations.

The winner’s are the following:

Children’s category

1.       Menaka Raman – How to win an election

2.       Devika Cariapa – A Children’s history of India in 100 objects

3.       Adithi Rao – Will Goondi come home?

4.       Sandhya Prabhat – Asha the auto driver

Other category

1.       Rithvik Singh – I don’t love you anymore: Moving on and living your best life

2.       Upamanyu Bhattacharyya – Mad sisters of Esi (Cover design)

3.       Saharu Nusaiba Kannanari – The Chronicle of an hour and half

4.       Venki Ramakrishnan – Why we die: The new science of aging and longevity
