BIS conducts capsule course for quality control personnel in Thanjavur-OxBig News Network

The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Madurai, conducted a two-day capsule course for Quality Control Personnel from packaged drinking water industries in Thanjavur, Ariyalur, Pudukottai, and Tiruvarur districts on March 28 and 29. Held at the District Industries Centre (DIC), Thanjavur, the programme trained 34 participants on Indian Standards, product manuals, test methods, and new BIS guidelines.

S.D. Dayanand, senior director, BIS, Madurai, inaugurated the programme while V. Manivannan, general manager, DIC, delivered the keynote address. Sessions covered microbiological and chemical parameters, BIS certification processes, and the Manak Online portal.
