Several medical experts from different parts of the country are expected to attend Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme on Robotics to be held in Tirumala Medicover Hospitals here on Sunday, according to the hospital Managing Director K. Tirumala Prasad and Centre Head N. Mallikarjuna Reddy.

Addressing the media conference in Vizianagaram, Dr. Tirumala Prasad said that robotic surgeries would minimise the pain and other complications for the patients since surgeries were done accurately in a meticulous way. He said that the first ever CME to be held in Vizianagaram would be a boon for the doctors as they can directly observe live operations and interact with experts from Indian Medical Association, the Association of Surgeons of India and Indian Society of Anesthesiologists. According to him, Robotic Inguinal Hernia Repair, Robotic Hysterectomy, Robotic Cholecystectomy and others will be performed in the hospital located near the APSRTC Complex of Vizianagaram.
